Retired from Juventus, Gigi Buffon received already an incredible offer from Paris Saint-Germain who have taken the first steps in trying to persuade the 40-year-old Italian star to come in France capital for a two-year contract.

PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi believes ‘any team would want’ Gigi Buffon, but confirms  Alphonse Areola will remain the club’s number one.

On the other hand 25-year-old Areola, whose own deal ends in June 2019 said: “Because if I’m not the number one anymore, it would mean the season I’ve just finished has all counted for nothing”

PSG, who won the French league title in 2018, will be taken over by coach Thomas Tuchel next season. He succeeds Spanish Unai Emery.
